Safaricom uses a commission model to reward its agents. Over time, it has adjusted its commission amounts and below are the latest commission structures being applied in year 2020.
There are commissions on deposits and on withdrawals. Also, a withholding tax of 5% is charged on commissions before they are paid off to an agent.
